it's unbelieveable!  I'm updating.. 

Actually, I'm up late tonight because I took this medicine and I have to eat it with food, so I'm snacking and looking for something to do. 

Let's see,.... summer. well....

I worked in the front yard, and pulled all my weeds.  Planted a few plants, but the deer came through and ate them.  Then the heat wave struck.... so yeah.. all my hard work is gone! 

I worked in the bathroom today.  I painted.  Yeah, even my hair.  I got white paint in my hair.  Mike told me, but when I tried washing it out, it won't wash out, soooo does that mean, it's really that white!  OH, no!  I'm getting old.

I cleaned alot of stuff out of my bedroom and "office".  I wish I had a desk to work on at home.  I'm kind of out of spending money in the budget though, so the desk will have to wait.  You should have seen all the paper that got recycled!  it was amazing! Didn't know I could collect so much paper!  yeah, and I even found grades from 3 years ago!  OH, my.  should have shredded these along time ago.

Well... I need to go find more snack food, maybe I'll write more later.

Ok, so it's been a looooooooooonnnnnnnngggggggg time and after being bothered by sooooooooo many of you to update - guess what??? I'm updating!!!!

I just finished a ton of baking!  I think I'm baked out.... I made about 5 different types of cookies and 3 different types of bread.  mmmmm everything looks so good, but it's all for the neighbors... I'm going to try to make sure I have left overs so I can eat some.

This Christmas is different.  I don't feel so rushed and I actually finished all my shopping.  Well, almost finished all my shopping.  I still need to find something for my parents, but have actually given up.  I don't know what to get them!  My mom asked for a can of canberry sauce.  I hope she was joking.  My dad asked to work out in his yard.  I think he's just tried of sitting inside and not being able to wander around the back yard.

I've also been grading papers....  man.... I have to figure out how to come up with grades, and not have so much paper work!  This is getting terrible.  I feel like I'm always stuck being a stack of papers.  And the worst part, is not all my students turn their work in.  There are always 2-4 students that don't turn work in and I still feel like I have too many papers to grade.

Oh, well... I'm going to stay away from work for the whole 2 weeks, and at the same time try to get all caught up with my work... I think it will be possible.... let's see.  Oh, and I also want to go shopping....  Christina wants to go down to the outlets in Gilroy.  This could be fun!  I wonder if we have to bring the boys.  that won't be as fun.

Well, I'm going to make the cookie plates for the neighbors, and then I'm off to wrap presents.....  then hopefully I get to bed by midnight.  The most amazing thing has happened.  I've actually lost the bags under my eyes!  I think I'm finally getting enough sleep this week!

Really, it's been a month?  Wow!

Ok, so Monday, we started back to school.  8 am in Alameda!  that was a long day!  I had to leave my house at 7:15! 

There are so many new teachers this year!  Lots of new faces of people I need to remember their names.  Oh, this is going to be tough.  I even found an old friend amongst the new teachers.  She used to be my Sunday school teacher when I was in jr. high!  That's amazing!  What's even as amazing, is she still looks the same as she did when she was my teacher.

All the text books for this year were shipped to Alameda, and we had to move them back to SL.  That was alot of work.  We put them in the back of my van, and were they heavy! 

I'm done having fun for the summer, now I have to go back to work... boo hoo... It was nice while I was having fun.  I think I almost accomplished all I wanted to do.  There is still yard work that I wanted to do, but I don't think I can make plants grow any faster.  I wanted to see the video, The Notebook.  Has anyone seen it?  I heard it was good.  That's about the only thing I didn't get to do.  Well, I'm back to work....... there's so much to do.  At least my desk is still in the same room.  I heard I'm at CPC in the mornings.  Ummm, I guess I was spoiled last year.  Oh, well, fresh air and a walk in the mornings is good exercise.

It's been a month??? really???

Well, here's what I've been doing:

I finally finished that dreaded 6 page paper, which actually ended up being 8 pages, but that's ok.  It had to be at least 6 pages.

I took my youth group kids camping for a weekend.  For some of the kids, it was their first time camping. The most challenging part for me was finding all the equipment and remembering to bring all the food!  I set a record, well, for me it's a record.  I had 2 s'mores in one night!  I usually only eat one, but they were so good! I also learned how to play texas hold'em.  Now notice I said, "learned" That doesn't mean I'm any good at the game, I just know how to play.  

I've been cleaning my room, and wow! after 5 years of not cleaning, the dust can be really thick in some places.  It was gross!  I came across a pair of baby booties I knitted for my daughter when she was born 20 years ago!  Oh, that was scary, didn't know feet could be so small.  I also found a few baby pictures, but the hard part is trying to figure out who the baby is!  I'm not even sure it's one of my kids.  I'm terrible.

These last few days, I've been working out in my yard.  My yard is beginning to look like a yard and not some field again.  There's so many weeds, and dead plants in my front yard, it's so sad.  I should have been out here a long time ago! 

Guess what!  After I packed up my desk and bookshelf at school to move to another room, I'm not moving!  Yeah!  Well, sort of.  I now have to unpack everything.  I also have my stuff scattered in a few differrent classrooms.  mmmm, this is going to be tough getting everything back in.  If I told some of you I was returning your papers, I still have them... they are just packed up in a box somewhere.  Sorry.  Be patient!  Wait until after Aug. 20 and I should be unpacked and I'll find those papers again. 

Ohh, I have only 2 weeks left... I'm so upset.  I don't want school to start yet.  I want more time to goof off and sleep!

Wow!  I'm back.  I've been busy.  I'm weeding my front yard, cleaning my house and oh, looking for a contractor to fix the bathroom.  Do you think I'm busy?  I'm also trying to work-out at least twice a week.  Don't laugh.... really, I'm working out... but don't ask, it doesn't show.  I guess the ice cream and cookies don't help the work-out
